Ad Optimiser is built by Andy and Anna Thomas, a husband and wife team based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, home to three children, a dog and a cat. No VC funding, no growth hacks. Just two people who believe small businesses deserve better than a spreadsheet and a prayer.
The people behind Ad Optimiser
Andy has spent nearly two decades working as a senior contract Business Analyst, Product Owner and Data Lead across some of the UK’s largest organisations, including DLA Piper and Northern Powergrid, delivering complex data, integration and transformation programmes through his consultancy LegalTech Solutions Ltd.
Outside of his contract work, Andy has always been close to the world of small business and kept seeing the same problem: owners running Google, Meta and Microsoft ads with no reliable way to tell which clicks were turning into real customers. Spreadsheets, gut feel and switching between platforms. So he built the solution himself, from the cross-platform analytics engine to the built-in CRM pipeline, email tools and lead re-engagement features.
Anna brings over two decades of client-facing experience to Ad Optimiser. A graduate of Sheffield Hallam University in English Literature, she ran her own recruitment business for nine years, placing support staff across UK professional services firms, before moving into senior client consultancy roles. Most recently she has worked as a Senior Consultant at a specialist medical clinic, guiding clients through complex and often deeply personal decisions with empathy and professionalism.

We’re a real family in Harrogate, with careers, kids, a dog, a cat and a genuine belief that small businesses deserve better tools than a spreadsheet and a prayer.
Andy studied Politics at the University of Sheffield. Anna studied English Literature at Sheffield Hallam. Before you ask, we didn’t meet there. Anna is keen to point out that she was still at school when Andy was studying in Sheffield. We met years later when we were both living and working in London.
Ad Optimiser is in free beta because we want to earn your trust before we ask for your money. Your data is stored securely in the EU on Supabase, and we will never sell it or share it with third parties. We’re registered in the UK as LegalTech Solutions Ltd.
